SINGAPORE BUSINESS CIRCLE

Promoting closer ties between Singapore, Australia, Israel, New Zealand and the region.

Singapore Business Circle (SBC)

The SBC was created in 2015 by the Trans - Tasman Business Circle, in recognition that Australia, New Zealand and Israel were increasingly looking to Singapore for opportunities, and to grow in the region. Since its foundation, SBC has provided the platform to develop new and existing relationships through a dedicated briefings program, and the building of key strategic partnerships with business and government organisations.

Business Briefings

Members of the Circle have access to over 150 briefings by the region’s business and government leaders. These include industry-specific discussions, predominantly at C-level engagement. There is also strong public sector engagement through the Public/Private Sector Dialogue.

Alliance partnerships

The Circle works with a wide range of private and public organisations in promoting closer ties in the region including Government orgnisations, Chambers of Commerce, Trade Organisations, Business Organisations and Alumni Associations, among others.

SBC and Australia

SBC welcomes the signing of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) between Singapore and Australia, signed by the Prime Ministers in June 2015.

This new partnership recognises the increasing closeness of both governments, the historic opportunities in our region, and the tangible benefits to be achieved for both peoples. In the Economic field, the Prime Ministers agreed to deepen economic integration and upgrade the Singapore-Australia Free Trade Agreement (SAFTA) to a Closer Economic Partnership.

SBC and Israel

Of specific focus will be the promotion of the bilateral innovation and investment opportunities between Singapore and Israel and we will feature a program of dedicated briefings and events as well as an annual Singapore business delegation to Israel each year.

SBC and New Zealand

As two small country economies, New Zealand and Singapore enjoy a special relationship. With backgrounds in innovation and a long standing Free Trade Agreement, there are growing ties between both countries. The Singapore Government is a major sponsor of the Circle in New Zealand.
