The Wellbeing Series: Waikato

Waikato’s prime location and diverse economy are at the heart of the region's competitive advantage contributing 7.8 of national GDP however, disadvantages do exist and there are deep pockets of deprivation. This panel will highlight how the Wellbeing Budget can be a navigator to prosperity across the Waikato region.  

Following the Government’s delivery of the inaugural 2019 Wellbeing Budget, this regional series will highlight the Government’s commitment of wellbeing and the environment at the pinnacle of New Zealand public policy while engaging community organisations and business in a multi-disciplinary dialogue on shifting economic policy to promote greater wellbeing within our regions, nationwide, and also on a global scale. 


The series is a roadshow featuring panel discussions in Northland, Waikato, Manawatu, and Canterbury, concluding with a keynote event in Auckland.
